Beach Chic + Latin Fest Fun
11:34 AMHey, everyone! Now that Summer is finally here, it's all about fun in the sun--and this past weekend was filled with much of it! One event that we had been looking forward to all season long was Hardee's Latin Fest in Virginia Beach. Every year they hold this festival at the oceanfront, so you know we had to get beach-ready! For us, events like this call for something cute, comfy, and relaxing, so we went for cool graphic tanks and denim shorts. With this summer being all about brights and neons, we just couldn't resist the top in the first look (Channy)! Not to mention, the statement,"Mermaid At Heart" is super cute and very fitting for the occasion. It actually reminds us of how we want to live our lives--no fear of depths and living everyday to its fullest! One of our favorite pieces about this look is the denim shorts. We love the neat look that this added cuff gives. In addition, these sandals and the cool mixture of arm candy add the perfect boho vibes to this beachy look! While bright colors and neons grab loads of attention, sometimes it's nice to take a trip on the calm and fresher side with the second look (Dannie). No other color channels this best than with white! We love the palm trees graphic and the words on the back of this top. They do an amazing job of describing what our perfect summer would be like. This tank went best paired with denim shorts and comfy sandals. And this look would be nothing without these beach-inspired bracelets!
......Now on to to our fun-filled experience!
We have a huge love and respect for the Latin culture! Everything from the food, music, dancing, people, and traditions has always been a major interest of ours. Once we found out that Latin Fest was coming up, we knew we couldn't miss out! We definitely had so much fun this past weekend. The day was filled with tons of music and dancing including salsa, bachata, and reggaeton (some of our favorites!). We loved how people of all cultures came together and had an amazing time--it was like one huge beach party! There were so many people from different Latin backgrounds including Puerto Rico, Domincan Republic, El Salvador, Panama...the list goes on and on. Not to mention, the men were SO handsome! One of the major things at Latin Fest is the concerts, and this year one of our favorite bachata groups, Vena, performed there. For those of you who don't know, this group consists of brothers Max and Lenny Santos from the bachata group, Aventura, and Steve Styles from the bachata group, X-treme. When we first heard about Vena, we fell so in love with their music, so you know we were dancing the night away along with 7,000+ people! Their performance was amazing and we had a really fun time. We did our best to take a few pictures despite us being so short and there being so many people. Needless to say, we can't wait for next year!
