Our Key Winter Essentials
9:02 PM
As we enter into the coldest months of the year, many of us struggle with the universal question: "How do I stay warm while remaining stylish?" And just as other seasons have their must-have essentials, Winter is certainly no different! Below are some of our top go-to's to keep you warm, chic, and super sweet all Winter long!
xoxo,
-Channy & Dannie
Boots & Booties
When it comes to a great Winter essential, we fall endlessly in LOVE with boots and booties! Whether it's combat, lace-ups, over-the-knee, ankle-cut, or a stylish block or metallic heel, they provide the perfect amount of style to any Winter number! One of our favorite ways to style boots and booties is by pairing them with a sleek pair of denim, a cute dress, or a flirty skirt and tights!
A Stylish Scarf
Scarves are our definite go-to for a Winter accessory! They're great for playing up your look, keeping you warm, and they're perfect for layering over your favorite outfit! Not to mention, they add variation. With many different styles (such as infinity and blanket), colors, prints, and patterns, a scarf can create an amazing accent and bring character to any look!
Sleek Denim
You can never go wrong with a chic pair of skinny jeans this season! A dark wash like this is the perfect starter for any cold-weather look! Not only does it create a sleek and sophisticated appeal, but the silhouette is perfect for adding on layers. And don't forget about light, medium. and stone washes! These shades of denim aren't just for Spring and Summer...they channel those Winter vibes, too! Styling them with crisp whites, taupes, olives, and other neutrals will definitely pull any Winter look together :)
Layering Socks
Another key essential that we LOVE adding to the mix is a pair of over-the-knee socks! They're perfect for extra layers under those cute and cozy boots and add infinite styling options and flair to your look! You can layer these with shorts, skirts, jeans, dresses, and (one of our faves) sheer tights. And with the various colors, textures, lengths, and patterns that over-the-knee socks come in, they're such a cool way to add contrast to your ensemble!
Winterized Nails
Our Winter essentials aren't just about clothes and shoes...they're about our fingetips, too! Nail polish has always been a unique way to take our Winter looks to the next level! Neutral shades like taupes and pinks, along with darker tones like deep reds, browns, greys, and purples are our favorite color options for this time of year! But don't be afraid to get bright and bold, ladies! We live for a bright pop of color, too! Blood orange tones, bold reds, and even lighter shades, such as Periwinkle Blue, set the tone for the season as well.
Winter Moisture
Just as clothing, shoes, and nails have been an important focus, we CANNOT forget about our lips! We always make sure to keep a good lip balm handy because moisture is key in this blustery weather! Some of our favorite go-to balms are those by Maybelline New York: Baby Lips. Not only do they come in many different shades, but they contain vital moisturizers (one of our favorites being Shea butter) that will combat that cold weather and leave your lips super soft and pretty. And we could never forget our old faithful, Vaseline! You'd be surprised just how much a little bit can go a long way :)
Cozy Knits
No outfit of ours would be complete without a cozy cardigan or sweater! These babies are the go-to for combating the cold and bringing your comfy-cute look to life! And they come in so many different styles! From short, mid-length, maxi, and over-sized, all the way to belted or buttoned, cardigans and sweaters create so many diverse looks that will have everyone's heads turning this season!
Winter Lippies
Just as lip balms keep our lips oh-so-pretty this season, so does a good lipstick! Lipsticks are such a cool way to go from plain-jane to WOAH, baby! We love neutral shades this time of year, whether its a shade of pink, mauve, or taupe. Such a great way to get a little flirty! For a more daring and sexy feel, we opt for deeper shades, such as burgundy, brown, or even grey!
