I don't know about you guys, but this has definitely been one hot summer so far, and with August being the peak of the season for all this heat, I've been eager to look for ways to stay super stylish and cute with minimal effort! I could easily go for the typical shorts and tank top or a cute maxi skirt or dress, but with so many trends circulating this season, I wanted to switch things up a bit. One newly added piece in my wardrobe is this vintage floral kimono, and I absolutely adore it! This is definitely a go-to for me because it's one of those pieces that's an easy pick, especially when you want something light, airy, and effortless to wear. The classic vintage floral also serves as a great accent and fashion statement, making this piece the full focus of the outfit. Plus, who doesn't love a little delicate touch to their look?

I decided to pair this kimono with a basic staple that every woman should have in their closet--a cami! These definitely make for easy layering, especially with this look since my kimono just so happens to be sheer! If you're someone who's not so much into camis, you can opt for layering a tee-shirt or even a sleek bodysuit (can you say Summer-time-fine?). Usually I'd go for a cute pair of shorts around this time of year, but it's not a crime to rock a pair of fashionably chic jeans either! I went ahead and threw in a pair of dark-wash high-waisted skinny jeans. The high-waist trend is one of my absolute favorites, so I have to say that this pair instantly took my look to a new level.

To pull everything together, I went with a pair of lace-up block heels! Block heels have also become one of my Summer faves, and anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE a good heel! I adore how this pair is not only sleek and sexy, but they're surprisingly comfortable, too! Not to mention, the peep toe and neutral tone make for some easy, chic styling. I wanted to go for something cute and casual, but these heels can be dressed up as well. To top off this look, I went with my favorite metallic--gold! By adding dainty pieces such as these midi rings and cuff, it gives this outfit a soft, delicate feel and pulls this look to perfection! I hope you guys fall in love with this combo as much as I did! These past few weeks have definitely been the start of that goal, with many exciting things coming our way. This has included a lot of eating (which we LOVE), reconnecting with childhood best friends, and venturing out to places and events that truly bring passion and excitement to our lives. We're happy to say that we accomplished a lot on our Fall bucket list, and we're eager to see if we can accomplish just as much, if not more, on this one, too! Some may simply see this as another Hallmark holiday, but if you're anything like us, then you know Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to get super dolled up for a night on the town. From sexy, sleek dresses to sky-high heels and everything in between, we're all for looking our absolute best on this day--but ladies, let's not forget that a little bit can go a long way as well. Hey beauties! This "Life Livin'" post is going to be a bit different from the ones we usually do. We're only a few hours away from 2016, and with all of the excitement and celebrations to come, we've also had some time to reflect on this year. 2015 has definitely opened our eyes and has taught us many lessons. It's given us motivation and inspired us in so many ways. Everyone knows how much travel influences us. It really opens up our hearts and minds to all of the possibilities the world has to offer and gives us a fresh perspective on things. For the first time this year, we got the chance to travel to Miami. Being there made us realize that there's more to life than what we see every day. Whether it's new scenery, new places, meeting new people, making new friends, or even finding true love, the possibilities and opportunities that travel has to offer are truly endless, and that's definitely motivating and inspiring in itself. We look forward to much more travel in the new year ahead. 

Another way that 2015 has motivated and inspired us is through the success of our family and friends. From landing the job of their dreams, becoming homeowners, or even falling in love, watching many of our family and friends experience their own success not only makes us happy, but allows us to see that with hard work, determination, and belief in ourselves, we can all have the desires of our hearts. 

If there's any lesson that 2015 has truly taught us, it's to hold on to your faith, remain patient, and to stay positive. Just as anyone else does, we all endure our struggles and challenges from day to day. No one is perfect. We've realized over time that it's okay to not have all of the answers, to not have it all together. That's life. 2015 has shown us that everything happens in its own time, not in our time. Our faith, patience, and positivity play a major role in the outcome of our situations. No matter how close or far our desires may be, if you keep these 3 things in mind, you'll ultimately receive what you're looking for. 

Finally, the biggest thing we've taken away from this year is to live the life you've always imagined. Do what truly makes you happy. Take that dance class, book that trip you've always wanted to take (it was way overdue anyway), start that blog, try the restaurant you've been dying to go to, pursue that special someone, follow your dreams...whatever you deeply desire, DO IT! Don't let anyone make you feel bad for doing what you love. Life truly begins at the end of your comfort zone. It's a saying that we've been living by to this day! This is where the magic truly happens, where doors are opened, and where opportunities present themselves. If there's things you've been wanting to do, but you've put them off, don't wait another minute! Start now! Each day, month, or year is another chance to start again and get it right. 

We plan to take all of these lessons we've learned into 2016. This is the year we want to make all about living our best lives--happiness, positive thinking/doing, doing everything we've always wanted to do, accomplishing our goals and dreams, stepping outside of our comfort zones...truly living our lives!
